Hari Raya Festival
With the Ramadhan (Fasting) month now over, Muslims from all over the world celebrate the festive season of Hari Raya Aidil Fitri with families and friends. Here in Miri and Malaysia, in general, friends irrespective of their religion are invited to a Muslim family get-together where various delicious food cuisines would be served. My family has a few invitations which dated from first day to the fifth day of the Hari Raya week. My grandchildren are excited about the whole thing and so are we adults. To all my dear friends celebrating and joining in the celebration of Hari Raya Aidil Fitri, my family and I wish you a "Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri, Maaf Zahir dan Batin". Echoing our Prime Minister's (Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi) Hari Raya message this morning, "May we all be united as one nation with loving and respecting one another, to be forgiving and cultivating friendship and continue to foster ties with other races in this country."
