Election Fever??
You can almost feel the heat! It’s hot and getting hotter! Yes, it's very, very hot topic too in our office environment. It's about politics and more politics! Well, obviously those very enthusiastic campaigners are making it HOT and SPICY in promoting their candidate(s) for next Sarawak Election. Truly, the election time is definitely near and that’s only a couple of days from today!! To me, the only thing to look forward to is probably the holiday that some civil and private sector’s servants get! Hooray! It's a holiday! The company I work for observes Saturday and Sunday as off-days, so I’ll probably stay at home and sleep. Sleep? Only after getting over the events happening on the 20th of May.
20th of May this year is a rather significant date to remember. Miri was declared a city status in year 2005. I am thinking of driving around the city to enjoy the beautiful street decorations and keep an ear on what interesting events and functions that would be held on 'the day', so just in case I want to participate in.

The Ninth Sarawak Election Day falls on the same date this year, so definitely I will be standing (while waiting to cast my vote, that is) at the Election Center already assigned for the communities within that outskirt. :)
The most exciting and most memorable event to remember as time goes by, would be the celebration of my first grandchild Nigel’s 3rd birthday! So, I could see I’ll be busy in my own ways on the Election Day!
To all voters out there, cast your vote wisely. Vote with wisdom and not emotion.
To all people out there, wherever you come from, have a pleasant stay in Sarawak, Land of the Hornbills.
