Better Finished than Perfect
Well, what 's going on in my life?
Gee! Really a lot of things, I must say.
Over the weekend, I spent basically the whole day of Saturday doing house cleaning. I scrubbed, washed, tidied all 3 bathrooms, vacuumed and dusted all bedrooms, the sitting room and also the dining room. I threw away old magazines and newspapers. Got rid of trashes and junks that have been stored in the storeroom for donkey years! I also packed away some good clothing that are hardly worn by my family and these will be given away to our church’s community for their next jumble sale and also the Red Crescent Centre for their contribution towards charitable bodies. Well, by evening time, most of what I wanted to do was done. How my body ached that night! I could hardly get enough sleep because I was rolling and tossing around in bed!
Thank God, I didn’t have to wake up during odd hours in the night to prepare my grandkids’ milk bottles! I decided not to baby-sit them over the weekend because I have planned to tidy and clean the house and also to tend to my garden on Sunday, after Sunday mass. Weeds and scrubs could be seen growing inside the flowerpots, on the flowerbeds and around the posts of the orchid’s shed.
As I was home alone (my eldest son is outstation and his brother is taking a holiday in Kuala Lumpur) I had the whole full day of the weekend to get things organized and I loved every minute of it! I got the impression that I would surely get more things done this weekend especially without any one there to bother me and I am very happy it’s an achievement.
Well, that's it for now. Going to think about what paint color to choose for painting my kitchen door next! Now, where did I keep that color-chart? Phew! Have I got endless “Things To Do List?”
